Whale Season mid-May and early October
Southern Right Whales have been migrating to the Eyre Peninsula for hundreds of years. Unfortunately their predictable breeding grounds, which now fuel tourism, once fuelled a pretty lucrative whaling industry. South Australia’s whale watching season has officially started with two southern right whales spotted earlier this month at the Head of Bight.
