June 10 – July 25 Walter Nicholls Gallery, Nautilus Arts Centre
A free exhibition featuring a collection of multidisciplinary works by a selected group of Aboriginal artists from South Australia.
This exhibition provides a contemporary framework by which to explore, express, and acknowledge Aboriginal veterans service in the Vietnam War – before, during and after.
19 June– 3rd July
PLHS Art and Design students have an exhibition of work on display in the Nautilus Arts Centre’s Rotary Gallery.
The collection is one of the largest ever staged by the students, with the work of 87 students from Years 8 to 11 on show until Wednesday July 3rd.

A graduate of the famous Juilliard School in New York, he has played in about 100 countries. Feel like listening to some great blues music? Head to Beer Garden Brewing to see The New Savages, an Indie Blues band. Their sound’s unique texture comes from taking inspiration mostly on the first generation of recorded Delta Blues, Gospel and Country Music recorded in the 1920’s/30’s.
At this family owned Port Lincoln business, operated by locals Mark and Janie Butterworth and their three boys, they use locally grown grains in their beers and hold sustainability as a key value with solar power, use of rainwater for brewing, recycling of wastewater, an edible beer garden and spent grain from the brewing process feeding cows that later return to their menu to close the loop.

Port Lincoln City Band put on the event each year with this year’s event having a ‘Jazz and Pizzazz’ theme.As part of the theme people are encouraged to dress in their finest 1920s outfit with prizes provided for best dressed on the red carpet
Awards presented will be City of Port Lincoln’s Best Original Short Film Award of $500, Port Lincoln City Band’s Best Original Music Video Award of $500, the Magic 899 Best Original Under 15 Award of $250 and the Raine and Horne People’s Choice Award of $250. The audience will have the chance to vote for their favourite film for the People’s Choice Award.
Talent on show at the Fame Awards will include Port Lincoln City Band, Passionis Productions and MTC dance as well as solos from local school students, Andy Seymour, Helen Marks and the City Band’s resident trombonist Bill Polain.
