Port Lincoln Tunarama Festival 2016
Were you in Port Lincoln for the Tunarama Festival on the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of January? Port Lincoln was inundated with locals and visitors celebrating this spectacular festival along the picturesque foreshore of this vibrant city.
The weather for the whole weekend was awesome and ideal for getting out and about and enjoying all the events such as the Tunarama Parade, Tuna and King fish tossing competitions, Kids Olympics, Boat Building Races and all the buzz and excitement of the sideshows and markets along the beachfront.
On Saturday night there was a Gala Ball at the Town Hall and Kelli Williams was announced as the Tunanrama Ambassador. The fireworks and the light show on the silos (which was a new addition this year) were very impressive and attracted great crowds as well. Many of the local businesses decorated their windows with colourful and interesting displays adding to the vibe of the Festival.
If you missed it this year make sure you put it on the calendar for next year it is a fun family -orientated festival that has a long tradition in Port Lincoln that celebrates the blessing of the fishing fleets. Go to Tunarama Facebook to see winners & more photos etc.
