Our Top Ideas for the July School Holidays in Port Lincoln
Looking for ideas to keep the kids entertained over the break and wondering how you will survive? Here are some useful ideas to keep everyone happy and avoid the “I’m bored” syndrome these holidays.
Winter is a great time for campfires and enjoying delicious toasted marshmallows. Why not head out to the National Park for a few days break. Lincoln National Park is known for its spectacular ocean views and rugged offshore islands, and is one of South Australia’s many true beauties. The park sits on the south-eastern tip of the Eyre Peninsula. The park’s magnificent scenery and beaches will totally make it worth every ‘are we there yet?’ from the backseat of the car.
Rug up to beat the winter chill and head to Glen forest Tourist Park open every day in the holidays. You can enjoy lunch from the Kiosk or bring your own picnic along. Take a wander around the park interacting with the friendly wildlife. Animals that you will see include koalas, dingoes, kangaroos, wombats, sheep, goats, emus, ostriches, peacocks, camels, horses, cows and water buffaloes. Be sure to see Babe the pig, and the walk-in bird aviary is a definite highlight.
